I interviewed my mom because she works with a man that unfortunately has the Alzheimer's Disease.
here are questions that i asked her:
Does he remember where he leaves his keys?
No, he needs to be reminded.
Can he be left alone?
Not for a long time because he forgets to do things.
If he is left alone, what happens?
He just forgets to do certain things.
Can he remember things from weeks ago?
Yes he can, he just cant remember what he did from morning to night.
How long has he had it for?
1 year
What has happened to him since the day he was predisposed to this disease?
He has been taken care of and had more attention.
Is he being treated? Is it getting worse over the time?
He is being treated and his medication is helping control the disease. Fortunately it hasn't gotten more severe thanks to the medication.
- The Alzheimer's Disease isn't genetic but it can be. My mom's patient got this disease with no cause. None of his relatives had it, not even his grandparents nor ancestors.
The purpose of my project is to find out how a person acts with the Alzheimer's disease and how does my neighbor "Don Rene" react to this disease.
Can it be genetic or can it come to you out of no where?
