How does it start?
- This picture explains how the brain is functioning while having a normal brain, and the alzheimer's disease. The first caption says "cells within the brain (neurons) transport electrical messages to other parts of the body using chemical transmitters called (neurotransmitters)", explaining how the brain is working without the disease.
- In the second caption it explains how the brain is when it has the alzheimer's disease. In the alzheimer's disease, areas of the brain tissue are damaged and some messages do not transmit, causing symptoms of the disease, meaning the brain doesn't work as well and tissues from the brain are damaged and messages to do something don't transmit.
