Mild disease
This picture is an example of the brain when it has a mild alzheimer's disease. A normal brain without this disease would have smaller ventricles, and bigger Hippocampus, but in this case, it is smaller so the disease is already getting worse.
Severe disease
You know you have a severe alzheimer's disease by knowing that parts of your brain are either enlarging or shrinking. A severe alzheimer's disease in the brain would look like this. The Ventricles has enlarged much more, and the Hippocampus has shrunk much more.
Healthy, Mild, Severe brain damage
This picture shows how the brain reacts when it has the alzheimer's disease. A healthy brain would have the hippocampus bigger than the Ventricles.
Where in the Body?
- The only part that is affected from the alzheimer's disease is the brain. Meaning the abilities to remember something; for example: knowing or remembering where they live or if they have taken their medications. People with this disease have or should have a tag on their neck saying where they live and what their name is. This will help these people because they can read the tag whenever they don't remember.
